What made Blair Witch so special was that you never saw what was terrifying you, you just felt scared, alone, in the forest, with no background music to prep you for what was about to happen, if anything at all.
That's what Paranormal Activity recaptured a decade later.
Blair Witch 2 was utter garbage, because it was a big-budget version of the first one, with bad acting, showing you what you never saw in part one, and just a horrible story. With a new creative team.
Paranormal Activity 2 has a new creative team, a bigger budget, and judging from this trailer, you might actually "see" what you're afraid of, which is a mistake.
Anyways, the trailer for the sequel is here: http://www.paranormalmovie.com/

Later that night, after Edge had taken out Randy Orton, Evan Bourne got his revenge by replacing Orton in a tag match with John Cena against Edge and his partner, Sheamus. Cena even had Bourne do his shooting star-press on Sheamus as the finish and pinfall to win the match, and the fans popped huge. Evan Bourne was the talk of the internet town!
The very next week...Bourne was not in action on RAW. Instead, he was shown thanking Cena for letting him be his partner. He received 30 seconds of airtime, and was pretty much buried in a promo Cena cut where the champion stated he had panicked to find a last-minute partner.
Then there's this week. Bourne not in action again - just on for a few seconds to save the Cena, along with the rest of the roster, against the NXT rookies. Bourne was shown later standing on the stage for further protection against the NXT rookies, along with the RAW roster.
Any momentum Evan Bourne had is now gone. On purpose? Bad booking? Who knows. I'm hoping there is a reason the WWE didn't run with the ball after pretty much elevating Bourne to main-event status, such as having him win "Money in the Bank" at their July ppv. Anything less than that would be a booking tragedy - the fans WANT Bourne to be a bigger star than he is. The fans LOVE him, he's got all the talent in the world, and it seems WWE just doesn't realize that.
Or do they?

Captain America costume pics yesterday, today we get Thor pics, courtesy of Collider. In one of the pics, he looks so much like Will Ferrall! Glowing Mjolnir withstanding, the costume from the Copiel design is fantastic. This is going to be a great movie!

I have thoughts on Chris Evans as Cap (which I am supportive of) and who I thought would have made a great Cap, which I'll write about later this week. In the meantime, check out these movie pictures of the costume, courtesy of AICN and JoBlo.

McDonald's latest ad campaign in France is weird. They're subtly telling the world they're pro-gay, without actually saying it.
Take a look at the embedded video below: we see a young man talking to...someone, who we later learn must be a boy, since he's looking at a class picture, and the father tells him (and us) that the young man went to an all-male school. We see the young man have the expression of knowing an inside joke when his father tells him he can "get all the girls".
However, the words "boyfriend" or even "gay" aren't even used. In fact, the young man is speaking discretely, keeping his voice down, hiding a secret, even from his own father. We assume the young man isn't "out". Well hey, at McDonald's, you can stay in the closet, the ad suggests!
I get that McDonald's is trying to target the gay audience via this touching ad, and I know whomever thought of this ad had their hearts in the right place, but it's 2010. I'm more open to an idea of couples, both heterosexual and homosexual, seen together without it being an issue, in any advertisement.
Anyhow, watch the ad. Hit me up on Twitter if you have something to say: http://www.twitter.com/pghcanada
I had a chance to watch the CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio match from the "Over the Limit" ppv in May, 2010. What a phenomenal match.
I won't go into the details of it, you've either read reports and reviews about it on wrestling sites, or have already seen the match, but for those who haven't, find a way to watch it - it's that good, and most of all, it's entertaining.
The match is almost stopped 5 minutes into it, after Rey suffers an injury, and seconds before, Punk's head is split open, but both sucked it up and delivered a match of the year candidate for the fans.
But enough praise about the match - watching Punk in a match this good, where he gets to show off his wrestling technical prowess with another wrestler who's abilities are on par with his own reminds me of how good a wrestler CM Punk is. I've watched him in some real boring matches over the last two years, not that he didn't give his all, but his was limited to what he could do against his lackluster opponents. I'm not saying Jeff Hardy, Dave Batista or the Undertaker were bad wrestlers, but I am saying he might have been asked to tone down his ability so as to not make the others look bad.
Watching him in action in this match, I am reminded of his ROH matches against AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, to name a few. I am reminded just how good he CAN be when he's not being held back. I'm reminded that he used to do pedigree's of the top rope, a move that is the trademark finisher of HHH. Coincidentally, CM Punk has not done the pedigree since arriving in WWE.
That being said, my allegations of Punk being asked to tone down his style have weight.
Nonetheless, go watch this match. It's well worth it, and damn entertaining - it's shocking, scary, funny and surprising in less than 20 minutes!

I usually get the "regular" size 31 Below at Baskin Robbins, because the regular and small are usually the only options available. Today I found out at the Bathurst/Eglinton location that a large was the third size option. I said sure, and the price? A whopping $7.25!
That being said, the large for the exact same amount for the exact same dessert at Dairy Queen (Blizzard) is about $5.04. Cheaper, so that's the way to go, right? Well, the same size at McDonald's (McFlurry) is $4.89.
I don't eat anything from McDonald's, because I hate the way my body feels afterward. But I'm not giving up this dessert - looks like McDonald's is gonna be making some money from me this summer.
BTW, I don't work for any of the above mentioned companies.
